FIST, originating from Falkirk in Scotland, now residing in Glasgow, brings his “enhanced personality” portraits and characters to the cobbles of Pink Lane. Thirty two years in the making he utilizes Victorian photographs, reclaimed wood and paper with spray paint and radiograph pens to produce work “between the past and the future, but not quite present.”
Inspired by his experiences of textures, colour, shapes, and patterns from the likes of Star Wars toys, 2000AD, Marvel Comics, and even Fischer Price space ships from his childhood. Add into the equation a passion for space exploration, a general love of robots, and recreational techno!
He comes to the Electrik Sheep with three pieces for The 2010 Preview and a Solo show confirmed for later in the year.
We are expecting amazing things, and a real creative twist on the space.
