Hailing from Amsterdam with a background in photography and a passion for fine art, Electrik Sheep is proud to introduce mixed media artist HANDIEDAN.
Think the classic pin-up colliding with an array of paint and original materials including playing cards, money, stamps, Chinese papers, old wood, and rusty metal – or as put on her website “a mixture of filigree and a newfangled amalgamation of imagery.”
Her work comes to Electrik Sheep on the back of numerous projects and shows reaching people in Zurich, Chicago, Munich, London, and Long Beach California. Her work has been celebrated in numerous publications and requested by a myriad of corporations.
It gives us great pleasure to be showing her most recent piece on zinc titled Vanitas No.5. We look forward to some more HANDIEDAN happenings throughout 2010 and beyond.
